Free Castillo Admission Ends Friday 4/26/2013

Free Castillo admission: In honor of National Park Week, the National Park Service is offering free admission to Castillo de San Marcos. Built by the Spanish military between 1672 and 1692, the Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fortification in the U.S. Go to www.NPS.gov/casa.
Friday, April 26 - - Arts Alive: The St. Johns County Education Foundation (SJCEF) and Bozard Ford will present the second annual Arts Alive Performing Arts Competition at 6 p.m. at Nease High School. More than 60 students auditioned and 14 will be competing for the title of Arts Alive Grand Champion. The show will feature singers, songwriters, pianists, dancers and more. Admission is free; attendees will have the opportunity to purchase voting rights for $5 at the door, which will give them the ability to vote on performances via a handheld clicker, and choose the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
